Training Centre
Te Ahi Kaa (Rekindling the embers of hope) is a fully equipped community training centre which can be hired for hui, workshops, seminars, sporting groups and training.
A stunning, modern, purpose-built facility set in tranquil surroundings of native plants and community gardens it is a peaceful venue set on 17acres.
Te Ahi Kaa comprises a sunny large meeting hall that can seat 150 people as well as a seminar room with the capacity to easily seat 30.
An upstairs lounge type discussion room allows for informal meetings overlooking the stunning surroundings.
Also included in hire is the exclusive use of a commercial kitchen, HDMI projector in main hall and bathroom facilities as well as free wifi.
Please note that we are an alcohol free venue and do not facilitate tangi.
Kaikoura Camp
Located 22km north of Kaikoura in the small settlement of Rakautara this camp is the prefect place to get away from it all and enjoy some true kiwi outdoor fun with the family or a group.
If you are looking for a standard house or bach then this isn’t it!
This is a true kiwi experience with all the great things that go with it including a bunkroom, mattresses on the floor and plenty of room for a few kids tents.
There are 2 separate buildings on the property.
Building 1 includes an 11 bed bunkroom, 2 freshly renovated bathrooms and a large kitchen. Building 2 is a large open hall with an additional 15 mattresses, a lounge suite, TV with freeview and a table tennis table.
You will have the entire camp to yourselves with access to the ocean just across the road and lots of room for the kids to play, ride a bike or set up tents to “camp out” in a large outdoor areas.
There is a large covered deck and a smaller deck on the north east corner with amazing views of the ocean.
The ability to get away from the hustle and bustle of town and enjoy the outdoors and space as well as swimming, fishing, or snorkeling at your doorstep sets this place apart.
In addition, if you prefer a dip in fresh water, the Rakautara stream at the end of our driveway has a lovely swimming hole to freshen up in, and for the surfer, the legendary Maungamanu surf break is only 5 minutes away.
